Brew the tea packets using a tea machine or by steeping in hot water according to the packet directions, brewing enough to yield about 2 gallons of strong tea.

While the tea brews, add the sugar to a heat-safe 4-quart Cambro or large pitcher.

Pour hot water over the sugar (about 1-2 quarts, enough to fully dissolve it) and stir until completely dissolved, forming a simple syrup.

Once the tea is finished brewing, pour the hot tea into a large container along with the dissolved sugar syrup and stir well to combine.
